COMPUTERIZE SCANNING AND DIAGNOSIS
To avoid harmful trial and error and possible waste of time, energy and funds this designed service helps to minimize the negative effect of trial and error that usually leads to all forms of waste. The effective diagnosis reduces the cost of repairs, minimize the risk of damaging some parts as well as reduction in time wastage. It includes general scanning of monitored circuits such as engine; automatic transmission, electric steering/power steering, air bag, ABS and all other monitored circuits.

The above two components are working hand in hand in ensuring smooth operation of the engine. For the purpose of prolonging the life of engine they must be periodically maintained. Majority of the car owners change engine oil and filter from time to time interval but abandon the maintenance of cooling system which is unknowingly greater mistake. Below is the detail explanation of what ‘’cooling system’’ is, why is it necessary to service it? and  what necessitate its periodic maintenance?
What is cooling system?
Cooling system is a mechanical component in the engine that cools down and normalize the temperature produce by burning of air-fuel mixture in the combustion chambers. It comprises of radiator, water horses, water pump, thermostat and water jackects etc. its main function is to pick away the excess heat produced to avoid damages.
Why is it necessary to routinely service the cooling system?
To continually restore and enhance its cooling efficiency. Higher temperature means engine parts exceedingly get hotter which causes lubricating oil to breakdown and lose its lubricating ability. Other engine part are also damage. To avoid those consequences the cooling system must be being maintained.
What necessitate the cooling system maintenance (more especially flushing)?
  • Coolant (water) being used for a longer time which make the antifreeze to be weaker and rust as well as forming of other contaminants.
  • Vehicle being kept for longer time consequently rust develop in the engine which need to be flushed.
  • If the cylinder head gasket blown or cylinder block/head cracks and combustion gases leak into the coolant; after repair the cooling system should be flushed.
  • Accumulation of contaminants in the coolant such as grease, engine oil, acids etc which also require probable correction and flushing.
  • Blockage of the water jackets surrounding the cylinders leading to overheating and hot spots seriously beg for flushing of the cooling system.
  • Replacing the radiator with new or rebuild one need the flushing of the cooling system to avoid contaminated coolant contaminating the radiator.
  • If the engine is usually having additional load like air-conditioner which add to existing temperature; it it better to flush and refill the cooling system once in a year.
  • Vehicles with high-capacity engines (turbocharged or supercharged engines) with high internal pressure and temperature need periodic cooling system check-up and maintenance (flushing etc).
  • Vehicles that pass through route with slower movement (go slow) makes water pump to turn slowly which reduce the speed in circulation of coolants and thereby raises the temperature of engine that can damage it. in this case it is advisable to maintain the cooling system periodically.
  • Long-time usage of the vehicle makes coolant (anti-rust and anti-freeze) to lose its effectiveness; that’s why automobile manufacturers recommended flushing of the cooling system at least in a year.
After realizing any of these situations above; the accurate solution in some cases is to diagnose, repair if fault is discovered and then flush the cooling system to restore its effectiveness. This is very important especially for vehicles used for travelling to a very long distance and ones in cities where there is traffic leading to slow movement.
Subject to above; you should know that, the burning air-fuel mixture in the engine cylinders may reach 4000-degree Fahrenheit (2200 degree Celsius) or higher. This means the engine parts get hot. However, the cylinder walls must not get hotter than about 500-degree Fahrenheit (260 degree Celsius). Higher temperature causes lubricating oil to break down and lose its lubricating ability. Other engine parts also damaged. To prevent overheating the cooling system must remove the excess heat. This is about one third of the heat produced in the combustion chambers by the burning air-fuel mixture. To ensure that the cooling system must from time to time be diagnose and corrected if fault (s) detected.
NOTE: “the vehicle manufacturers recommend that, the cooling system should be flushed periodically. Some manufacturers recommended once in a year while some recommended once in two years”.
COOLING SYSTEM FAULTS
